Diary sub-note: 8th [Sunday] after Trinity1914. German troops crossed the French frontier Went to see some puppies at Nancy’s sister’s. Went to Stratford via Warwick castle, Kenilworth castle, Coventry, & Leamington. Went over the new memorial theatre at Stratford & had tea at the Shakespeare Hotel.
