Diary sub-note: 1804. Napoleon I proclaimed Emporor Went for a 3 hour ride. Got the curse. Had a splitting headache. It thundered a lot. Went down to a guide parade in Pilton. Nancy came back.

Diary sub-note: 1916. Fall of KutMoon: First Quarter, 12.16 p.m. Went to Pilton on Banker. Groomed Banker. Messed about with Simon. Had a card from Anne H. I wrote to her. The day was boiling hot. Went down to the farm with Simon.
